I love science fiction.
The best science fiction is about something else. The best science fiction is not really about aliens or space ships or time travel. It’s not about special effects or cool weapons or strange planets. The best sci-fi speaks to the themes of courage, of sacrifice, of the meaning of life, of good and evil.
Often times Doctor Who is the best sci-fi. We’re catching up on last season, and last night we watch the episode where Clara betrays the Doctor. The scene then proceeds thusly:
